The Omaha-Council Bluffs Miniature Guild

    Monthly Thursday Meetings
Each month the Shoe Box Bunch gets together for a short
business meeting followed by a workshop.  Meetings are similar
to Omaha – Council Bluffs Miniature Guild meetings.

The Shoe Box Bunch meets on the fourth Thursday of every
month at 7:00 pm (alternate Thursdays are scheduled when the
meeting conflicts with Thanksgiving). Meetings are held year
round at the La Vista Community Center, 8116 Park View
Boulevard, and they last about 2 hours.

If you’re considering membership you may attend up to two
meetings for free.  If you wish to attend additional meetings you
will need to join the club.

THE SHOE BOX BUNCH
    Joining the club
To join simply come to a meeting
and give the treasurer cash or a
check payable to the Shoe Box
    Bunch for your annual dues.
    Annual dues are $15.
    Membership in the National
    Association of Miniature
    Enthusiasts (NAME) is not
    required for Shoe Box
    members.
The club strives to share its hobby with the
community whenever possible.  We have been
fortunate to have an exhibit along with the Omaha –
Council Bluffs Miniature Guild at the Durham
Western Heritage Museum for the last several
    holiday seasons.

Once every two years the club contributes gifts,
raffle and auction items to the Omaha – Council
Bluffs Miniature Guild’s exhibit and sale. Club
members have the opportunity to exhibit and/or sell
their work, and  to view displays and purchase items
from dealers from all over the country. In addition, a
number of workshops are available at this event.
Typically half-day workshops are offered as well as
    simple make-and-take workshops.

Each year, the club members have the opportunity
to participate in the Omaha – Council Bluffs
Miniature Guild’s day long workshop called
Nebraska State Day.  State Days are a NAME
concept and are held in many locations throughout
the country. These events give miniaturists a
chance to enjoy a day of socializing with other
miniaturists from our own club as well as some who
travel from out of state to join us. By the end of the
day, each participant will have a nearly completed
roombox or similar project to take home.
